Channing Tatum is set to join the cast of ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle,’ a sequel to the 2014 action spy hit ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service.’
Channing Tatum tweeted Wednesday, “I’m about to get all up in that Golden Circle.” Making Tatum set to join the cast for the sequel film to “Kingsman: The Secret Service.”
The Alabama-born also tweeted a picture which read,”My momma always told me that the British gave us Southerners our good manners.”
Alright, who else is excited about this?
Aaron Egerton and Mark Strong are returning cast members along with Colin Firth. The movie is making moves with adding new cast members Julianne Moore, Halle Berry and Pedro Pascal.
Elton John is rumored to join the production, and his role is equally being kept a secret.
Matthew Vaughn is directing again from a script he co-wrote with Jane Goldman. Vaughn also directed the first movie “Kingsman: The Secret Service,” which was based off a comic book “The Secret Service.” The comic book was about following the training of a new secret agent to take on a global threat from Richard Valentine (Samuel L. Jackson). The original grossed a surprisingly $415 million worldwide.
The upcoming sequel continues the adventures of a wayward tough (Aaron Egerton) from the bad side of London who was taken in and turned into the best and brightest of British agents.
Channing Tatum’s role is still unclear as he was offered several. The roles range from supporting to cameos or he could even end up playing himself.
The “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” has been dated for release on June 16, 2017, but production is to start as early as may, FOX said.
