Kim Kardashian is busy as ever in the new year with photo shoots for her hugely successful makeup brand KKW Beauty. Today, her shapewear line, Skims, launched a new bodysuit line ranging in size from XXS through 5X. Like any busy working mom, she absolutely had to take the time for an adorable check-in with her youngest, Chicago West, to see if she could settle on a theme for her 2nd birthday party on January 15th. When Kardashian asked Chicago who has the next family birthday coming up, little Chicago was a bit confused and asked “Sainty?” Probably because big brother Saint West’s 4th birthday was just in early December and it was an unforgettable dinosaur-themed rager. After clarification for the baby girl that her big celebration was next, Chicago decided on a pink cake and a Minnie Mouse theme (Baby Shark, though high on her list, didn’t make the cut as a theme). Chicago takes after her mom, leaning toward a more girly motif—a lot different than Saint’s dinosaur-themed birthday bash.
The party was held at Scootie Gootz, a private party indoor play place started by Boyz II Men singer Shawn Stockman. Birthday girl Chicago wore a Minnie Mouse ears and completed her look wearing Minnie Mouse face paint. The tea party theme, included pink and gold décor, tea, macarons, beautiful china place settings, a Minnie Mouse cake, and pink roses overflowing. Since tea isn’t exciting to the toddler crowd, Chicago and her Kar-Jenner cousins painted the afternoon away at tiny art easels.
“Happy Birthday my sweet baby girl Chicago!!!” Kardashian wrote. “I can’t believe you are already 2! You bring so much joy into our lives. I love watching you grow every day! My smart, sassy and silly girl! Mommy loves you forever!” Grandma Kris Jenner added her birthday wishes to Chicago along with a slideshow on Instagram, “Happy Birthday precious Chi Chi!!! You have brought so much joy and love into our family and I love you to the moon and back!!! You are our little angel doll and I love watching you grow.. what a blessing you are!
Kylie Jenner’s daughter and Chicago’s cousin, Stormi, got into the theme of the party in Minnie Mouse face paint and demanded mom post selfies for her. Stormi’s birthday is up next on February 1st and Jenner must be planning a blowout suitable for a two-year old, who already has a two-story baby mansion, diamond ring, and Birkin bags– not to mention a custom TINY CHANEL.
