Gigi Hadid received the ‘Our New Girlfriend Award’ at last Saturday’s 2016 Guys Choice Awards held at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, CA adding that she has “always been a good girlfriend”.

Entertainment Scoop recently learned that the 21-year old international model and boyfriend, 23 year old Zayn Malik, have split ways after a 7 month courtship. Sources close to the couple have reported the “it couple” have “broken up and got back together a few times” already and “can likely get back together tomorrow.” We can only hope.

During her acceptance speech, Hadid said “I called a friend and was like, ‘What do I say that’s funny?”. “And she was like, ‘Try and think of like, something that you did that was mean to a crush in middle school and try to make a joke about that.’ I was like, you know what? I have always been like, kind of like a good girlfriend! Like, even in middle school when I had crushes, like, I’ve always been like kind of nice!”, she added.

Hadid, who has been romantically linked to Joe Jonas, 26, and Cody Simpson, 19, has not commented on the status of her breakup with the former One Direction Singer. However, the 21 year old Maybellene poster girl was seen dancing the night away to Malik’s single, “Pillowtalk”. Which led some to believe it’s only a matter of time until the young power couple reunite.

During her acceptance speech, Hadid took time to pay tribute to the late boxing legend, Muhammad Ali, who passed away on June 6 in Scottsdale, AZ at age 74.

“I just wanted to say Muhammed Ali has touched me so much in my life and I’m so grateful to have met him,” she said. “So I just wanted to openly say rest in peace, Muhammed…you’re the champ!”

Additional honorees at this year’s 2016 Guys Choice Awards included basketball legend Kobe Bryant, actress Julia Roberts and comedian Adam Devine, among others.

When asked for the scoop on the couple’s breakup, we received an official “no comment”.
