Holly Robinson Peete Chat’s With Us About Her New OWN Docuseries “For Peete’s Sake”

Holly Robinson Peete

Holly Robinson Peete is well known for her past role’s on Hangin With Mr. Cooper and 21 Jump Street and now we will see her coming back to her TV roots in “For Peete’s Sake,” which will air on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).

The show will look at how Holly and her husband Rodney Peete balance their very public careers with their four kids and her mother Dolores.

I spoke to Robinson Peete at the LadyLike Foundation’s 7th Annual Women of Excellence Scholarship Luncheon where she was host of the event. When asked what she is most excited for people to see about her family she responded,

I think people are going to be shocked at how i parent. I think over the years our image has been squeaky clean and  G-Rated. I parent like a black mama and thats what I do. I’m excited to share a lot of the things that we go to because a lot of people will relate. especially my older son and autism and him transitioning into adulthood. I never seen that story told.

I also asked who she thinks will be the star of the show.

I can tell you right now. My mom, she is eighty and ready. Do you hear me? She is looking for a man and embracing life. And I think thats another thing we don’t see enough of. An older generation. People are living life longer and my mom is definitely the breakout star.

“For Peete’s Sake” will be joining OWN’s Saturday night line-up along with the original series Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s, Raising Whitley and 2 Fat 2 Fly.
