James Corden hosted the 3rd Biennial Rebels With A Cause gala in Santa Monica. The late night host joined celebrities such as Julianne Hough, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin to support cancer research. Christina Aguilera, Kristin Chenoweth, and Leona Lewis sang their hearts out at the star-studded event. James Corden revealed that he was a “big Leona Lewis fan,” so he was looking forward to her performance the most.
James Corden joked, “My job is basically singing in a car with celebrities.”
“I am the perfect person to host tonight,” James jokingly said. “Honestly, I hate cancer. I hate cancer so much I wish cancer would get cancer.” The Late Late Show host made fun of himself by saying, “I am incredibly honored that they asked me to help [host this event.] My job is basically singing in a car with celebrities.” James Corden used his Tony award winning pipes to sing a cover of Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself.” Instead of singing Bieber’s song word for word, James added his own lyrics – “And I really wanna find a cure because I’m not so much a runner. I am more a swimmer. Runners are more slimmer.”
The late night host is known for his killer vocals on his hit segment “Carpool Karaoke.” He’s had epic guests too like Jennifer Lopez and Justin Bieber. When asked who he would love to have on his show, he said what we were all thinking. “I would not want to single anyone out, there’s so many people – Beyoncé, Kanye West, and Bruno Mars.” How amazing would that carpool be? You can watch James Corden crack more jokes on his late night now on CBS. The host/actor will be starring in the animated film Trolls.
