New details have been found almost a year after Jim Carrey’s former girlfriend’s death.
According to new reports from the autopsy and toxicology obtained by PEOPLE, Cathriona White was found with a suicide note that was addressed to Jim Carrey.
Cathriona White, 30, critically overdosed on prescription medication in September of 2015.
This happened shortly after her breakup with Jim Carrey.
The suicide note found reads,
“I’ve spent 3 days now in disbelief that you’re not here. I can go on brokenhearted and try to put the pieces back. I could, I just don’t have the will this time,” she wrote in the note that was found by the authorities.
She added, “I’m sorry you felt I wasn’t there for you. I tried to give you my best part.”
Cathriona also wrote about her plans for her funeral, she added
“I don’t really know about burial or that sort of thing. You are my family so whatever you choose will be fine.”
The note also said, “Please forgive me. I’m just not for this world.”
Cathriona and Carrey, 53, first met while on a film set back in 2012,
They had been dating on and off ever since.
According to reports, some friends told the police that the couple had broken up approximately a week before she committed suicide.
Jim Carrey wrote an emotional note shortly after her death.
The note said he was “deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona.”
He also wrote, “She was a truly kind and delicate Irish flower, too sensitive for this soil, to whom loving and being loved was all that sparkled.”
The autopsy and other reports confirm that Cathriona was taking prescription pills and that there was evidence of propranolol, zolpidem, oxycodone and oxymorphone in her system at the time of her death.
