Kelly Clarkson and her hubbie Brandon Blackstock have welcomed a new baby boy as their second child together.
Kelly Clarkson, 33, tweeted on Thursday April 14, “Our little baby boy has arrived!! Remington Alexander Blackstock was born 4/12/16 & he is healthy & we couldn’t be happier or more in love!”
A record label representative for Clarkson confirmed the information.
Clarkson, a former “American Idol” star and her husband Brandon Blackstock also have a 1-year-old daughter River Rose together. She is also a stepmom to Blackstock’s two children form a previous marriage.
Clarkson revealed she was expecting her second child back in August 2015. She blurted out the baby news on stage during a performance at the Staple’s Center because she was so emotional.
She’s also made it no secret that she has had extremely difficult pregnancies with bothe River and her newborn son.
“Honestly, the first one was really tough, and I was like, ‘Oh, it can’t happen again,’ and no it happened, like, way worse this time,” Clarkson shared with a radio interview with Australia’s KIIS FM last month. “I just get hospitalized, and I have to get fluids. It’s just, like, my body was not made to be pregnant.”
This will be her last pregnancy if all goes to plan, Clarkson said.
“Oh, no, we are done,” she laughed. “Oh good Lord, yes, I can’t be pregnant again. This will be our number four total, so we’re good.”
Her husband of two years is someone she can definitely count on. She added, “He is a great father to our kids.”
“Watching my husband love on his daughter all the time, you know, go to her events and just be there, and like, be present is, like, hard to watch but beautiful to watch, Clarkson said in a radio interview with Ryan Seacrest in February.
Clarkson and talent manager Blackstock, 39, married in Tennessee in October 2013 after two years of dating.
