In a recent interview for the June/July issue of GQ Australia, Aussie heartthrob Liam Hemsworth, 26, opens up about his on-again, off-again relationship with Miley Cyrus, 23.
Hemsworth and Cyrus met on the set of The Last Song in 2009. A relationship quickly ensued and the pair have been romantically linked ever since. No celebrity relationship would be complete without the occasional break up’s, of course. The first one being in 2010. After which both Hemsworth and Cyrus would go on to date other people.
But, just two years later the pair reunited when Liam proposed with a whopping 3.5-carat diamond engagement ring.

Fast forward to the fall of 2013 and the celebrity couple calls it quits yet once again until coming full circle in 2015.
On the breakup, Hemsworth admits “Of course it was hard, man. But at the time we were going in different directions and it’s just what needed to happen,” he explains. “We were both super young and it was a good decision at the time—we both needed that.”
In their time apart, Liam and Miley were able to grow individually, which only made them stronger as a couple Hemsworth confides.
This time around, however, the Independence Day: Resurgence star didn’t waste any time. “I guess when I feel something, then I just feel it and I go for it,” Liam says. “I make my decisions about what’s going to make me happy, what I think is right and what I want to do—and I don’t worry too much outside of that” he added. When asked on the current state of the pairs relationship he replies “People will figure it out, they already have…They’re not dumb.”
Do we hear wedding bells in the near future? Only time will tell. In the meantime, we wish nothing but the best for these lovebirds.
