Magic Johnson Revives The Los Angeles Dodgers
Magic Johnson reminisced with us on how its been these past three years as owner of the Dodgers. When Johnson and his partners bought the Dodgers in 2012, the Lakers legend talked of restoring the team to the local prominence it enjoyed decades ago.
While the Los Angeles Dodgers didn’t play a game Thursday, several players were on hand at Dodger Stadium for the inaugural Blue Diamond Gala honoring the Jackie Robinson Foundation, Los Angeles Fund For Public Education and LA84 Foundation.
We asked Magic, “how does it feel to be apart of something ground breaking?
“Well you’re right it feels great. We always want to win baseball games no question about it, we want to make sure we are winning are divisions and trying to win the world series but none of that would be great if we weren’t doing great things in the LA community. We want to reach back and give back to the community, Johnson said.”
How do you hold it all together?
His wife answered this one,
“He knows how to balances things and he is a planner!
We wanted to know how what has been challenging and exciting about owning the Dodgers and her confidently said,
“The most exciting is that we brought the Dodger brand and team back, its relevant now. The fans are happy. Are team is exciting and young, and now the next step for us is to win the world series. The challenge for us is to keep it going and we are going to do that.”
