Miley Cyrus sits down with The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. The 24 year-old singer, actress and judge on The Voice opens up about smoking marijuana, and why she quit.
While sitting down with Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Fallon asked Cyrus “Did you stop smoking weed?”. Miley Cyrus opens up and says, “yes I did”. She continues to explain her reason for quitting involves her appearances on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Cyrus admits it was her first sober appearance on The Tonight Show. She jokingly admits part of her vibrant bunny rabbit and cat outfit from previous appearances on The Tonight Show are due to smoking marijuana.
While sitting down with Fallon, Miley Cyrus also admits her new album Malibu, influenced her to quit smoking. Miley says “this record for me at this moment is the most important album that I’ve ever made so I wanted to make sure that I’m super clear about the way I’m talking.”
Cyrus’s clarity in her music comes when she is in a “super clear” state of mind while writing. Malibu does not yet have an issued released date, but is set to release in the coming months.
Smoking marijuana gave Cyrus some peculiar nightmares. “I had a dream that I would die during my monologue on SNL (Saturday Night Live)”, says Miley Cyrus. She said the death in her nightmare was caused by becoming “so stoned”. She reassured Fallon “that has never happened before”.
Jokingly Cyrus admits the worst thing that has happened while “stoned” is she “wants to sit at home and eat” and she “was spending way too much time with the pig”.
Clarity seems to overcome Miley since she quit smoking marijuana. Father, Billy Ray Cyrus also admits to ET Online, Miley has been “so happy” lately. Majority of her happiness comes from her rekindled relationship with Liam Hemsworth.
The two have recently made their relationship extremely public. While sitting down with Helen the Generous in October 2016, Cyrus shows off her engagement ring.
