Rapper E-40 talks with Vivian Adaobi about why hip hop is unique on the west coast and how to stand out in the hip hop industry.
‘U and Dat’ rapper E-40 performed at 93.5 KDAY’s Krush Groove concert at The Forum, honoring legendary rapper Ice T. Later he spoke about how up and coming rappers can make their mark in the industry.
Hailing from the Bay area, E-40 has become a staple to its hip hop culture. He advises others to stay true to who they are as artists and let that shape their sound.
E-40 also spoke about his many new ventures, including an adult alcoholic beverage called “Slurricane.” He is working on turning his brand as a rapper in to an empire.
Recently E-40 made a mark on the NBA, by remixing his song “Choices (Yup)” to make a playoffs theme for the Golden State Warriors. The team’s Stephen Curry was just named the NBA’s MVP.
