Move over Kim K! ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Officially Broke The Internet As Of Last Night.
Slowly but surely, ticket distributing websites such as Fandango, Movietickets.com, and other online movie outlets are making slow recoveries this morning after facing full-blown attacks from Star Wars fans across the galaxy last night.
The trailer for the new Star Wars film, set to come out in December, was released during halftime on ESPN’s Monday Night Football and so were pre-sale tickets to see the film, causing major chaos all over the Internet.
While several lucky souls were able to secure their tickets amidst the swarms of fans, it wasn’t long before the websites faced their demise and disappointment swept through households across the country.
Each website had a different tactic in how they released their pre-sale tickets, Fandango beginning with a few select locations, while MovieTickets.com made Star Wars tickets available for all theater locations.
We’re happy to say that the websites are up and running again (if not, they will be shortly) and for every disappointed fan who was not able to secure their seat to see what’s to be one of the most anticipated films of 2015, that you will be able to secure tickets at a later time.
