Taylor Swift opens up about dating her boyfriend Calvin Harris and being “slaughtered” for past relationships.
Taylor Swift gets a total makeover for the cover of Vogue, with short blonde hair, a very low cut dress and Vestments boots.
Here’s an inside scoop of what the singer feels about her current relationship, past ones, her squad, and more.
Swift opens up about dating Calvin Harris. “I’m in a magical relationship right now. And of course I want it to be ours, and low-key…This is the one thing that’s been mine about my personal life.”
Taylor Swift’s dating history is no secret. She has always been in the news when there’s even a slight rumor she might be with someone. Her songs tell the tale of each relationship she’s ever been in. Hearing Swift tell her own story about her past makes a person realize she didn’t date more than anyone else does when in their 20’s.
“You know, I went out on a normal amount of dates in my early 20’s, and I got absolutely slaughtered for it,” she continues. “And it took a lot of hard work and altering my decision making. I didn’t date for two and a half years. Should I have done that? No.”
Swifty has definitely started to get a thicker skin when it comes to tabloids and rumors about her after living in the spotlight.
Having a lot of focus on her and her squad, Swift says she’s figured out the best way to deal with gossip.
“There are a lot of really easy ways to dispel rumors…If the rumor is you have fake friendships, all you have to do is couture to be there for each other. And when we’re all friends in 15 years and raising our kids together, maybe somebody will look back and go, ‘That was kind of ridiculous what we said about Taylor Swift and her friends.'”
So what is the next step for megastar T-Swift?
“I have no idea,” Swift told Vogue about her plans following the worldwide mega-tour in support of 2014’s multiplatinum 1989 record. “This is the first time in 10 years that I haven’t known. I just decided that after the past year, with all of the unbelievable things that happened…I decided I was going to live my life a little bit without the pressure on myself to create something.”
The interview took place just a couple days after Swift’s speech for winning a grammy for Album of the Year. Where she took a not-so-masked shot at Kanye West. For the record, she’s over the whole back-and-forth drama. “I think the world is bored with the saga,” she continues. “I don’t want to add anything to it, because then there’s just more…I guess what I wanted to call attention to in my speech at the Grammys was how it’s going to be difficult if you’re a woman who wants to achieve something in her life–no matter what.”
The May issue of Vogue comes out on April 26th.
