Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are one of the best duos on the big screen with their hilarious banter, witty comebacks, and all around charm. The actors teaming up once again to play one of the most dynamic duos ever, Sherlock Holmes and John Watson, in the upcoming movie Holmes and Watson.
Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are teaming up once again for Holmes and Watson.
“I’m about to be reunited with John C. Reilly, so that [will] be fun,” the Anchorman actor dished at Clayton Kershaw’s annual Ping Pong 4 Purpose charity event.
The former Saturday Night Live star will step into the famous detective’s shoes and Reilly will play Will Ferrell’s trusty sidekick. We can’t wait for these two to join forces again after the success 2006’s Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby and 2008’s Step Brothers. The 49-year-old actor revealed that he loves working with John C. Reilly.
If these two comedians are any indication that the movie will be hilarious, Etan Cohen wrote the script and is set to direct the upcoming film. We’re hoping this all-star team will make a killer movie. Etan worked made his directorial debut last year with Get Hard, which starred Will and Kevin Hart.
Will Ferrell’s doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. He’s set to appear in James Franco’s new film Zeroville. He will also play alongside Amy Poehler in The House next year. The actor will also team up with Mark Wahlberg once again in Daddy’s Home 2. When asked about working with the Calvin Klein model Ferrell said, “Mark is great. He’s like a brother to me. A sexy, muscular brother.”
John C. Reilly is set to star in several movies in 2017 and will lend his voice in the upcoming animated movie Sing. Even though we can’t wait to see Holmes and Watson, there still isn’t a release date scheduled just yet.
