18 Dec Actor Titus Makin Discusses Season Three of ‘The Rookie’
Today on ENTScoop Chats our host, Kelly Gilmore, spoke with actor, singer and dancer Titus Makin! Titus is well known for his role as Jackson West on ABC’s “The Rookie,” which is returning for a third season!
Plans for Season Three
Makin explains that this season of “The Rookie” is ‘not playing around.’ He says that internally the show has made plans to cover the things that need to be addressed in the categories of police brutality and racial injustice. He explains that it is a gift to be able to personally resonate with the work you do as an actor.
Making Music
Most recently, Titus has released his latest song “Pray For Em.” Titus tells us that the background for this song stemmed from him wanting to put his thoughts and feelings about the current climate into more than just an Instagram caption. Titus says he was able to be more dynamic with his thoughts and feelings throughout the elements of the song and music video. Titus defines his genre of music as “Funk Soul,” as he takes inspiration from previous generations of music.
His Favorite Project
When asked what has been his favorite work thus far Titus explains that he has loved many roles for many different reasons, but Glee would have to take over all. Titus shares that Glee really gave him a close knit family of friends that he still has to this day and community is something that he cherishes above all other factors.
New Projects to Look Out for
As far as projects in TV and Film, Titus explains that he is focusing on staying safe and healthy. However, the star teases that he does have tons of new music coming out in the new year!
