Dinner Is Served: Chicken Tacos

On this episode of Dinner Is Served we are learning how to make some delicious chicken tacos! I fucking love tacos. They are a dish that I think most people can’t get wrong. It’s pretty easy to make. Your choice of meat, or other filling if perhaps you’re vegetarian, small tortillas and topping that you might like. I usually eat carne asada tacos topped with cilantro and onion. Those are your standard type of tacos. Today we are going to be switching it up just a little and using chicken instead.

I recently found out that there is a long time rivalry between pizza and tacos. It’s basically people trying to decide what’s better. What do you think? Pizza or tacos? I suggest making these tacos and then making a pizza during the same night and deciding then but that’s just what I would do.

  •  2 lbs. of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4-6 cloves of garlic. minced
  • 2 tbsp. of olive oil
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. of smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp. of chili powder
  • 1 tsp. of ground cumin
  • Juice of 1-2 limes
  • Corn tortillas
  • Acocados, diced
  • Jalapeños, finely chopped
  • Red onion, thinly sliced
  • Chopped cilantro
  • Sour cream
  1.  Throw the chicken pieces, onion, pepper, garlic, and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until the chicken is cooked through.
  2. Add the tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, smokes paprika, salt, pepper and lime juice. If you would like it to have a more sauce like consistency you can add 1/4 cup of water or chicken broth.
  3. Serve with your desired toppings! We suggest the cilantro, avocado or the sour cream.
