The nominations for the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards were announced Tuesday via live stream by father-daughter duo, Ron Cephas and Jasmine Cephas.
Leading the pack is “The Crown” and “The Mandalorian,” which received the most nominations, a total of 24. “WandaVision” was right behind the two with a total of 23 nominations.
Additionally, HBO and Netflix triumphed networks with the most nominations.
Most importantly, with these Emmy nominations history is being made. Mj Rodriguez and Rosie Perez both make history, with Rodriguez being the first trans woman nominated for leading actress and Perez being only the third Latina actress nominated for supporting actress.
From “Saturday Night Live” making us laugh at their outlandish sketches, to “This Is Us” making us cry at their enriched plotline. To the nostalgia of “Friends: The Reunion,” and all the way to London in awe of “The Crown,” television has brought viewers together more than ever.
