Dancing With The Stars Recap : Changes On The Dance Floor

This week’s “Dancing with the Stars” episode had a lot of shocking revelations. The biggest news of the night was Jeannie Mai’s surprise exit from the show. Jeannie has a condition called Epiglottitis that causes swelling in her windpipe. Jeannie Mai and her partner, Brandon Armstrong, had to drop out of the competition due to her condition.

Jeannie’s Condition

Jeannie had to go to the hospital to get treatment on her condition, but she appears to be doing better. Many of Jeannie’s costars and fans on Social Media are wishing her the fastest recovery.

“Dancing with the Stars” made a statement about Jeannie on their Social Media. “Jeannie has inspired us, along with millions of fans, with her energy and dedication,” the show wrote. “We wish her a full and speedy recovery.”

They went on to say that since the night was supposed to be a double elimination, they are only going to eliminate one couple, because Jeannie and her partner had to withdraw. Let’s see who was in the bottom two, who did well, and who was eliminated this week.

Details On The Dancing

Nelly and his partner, Daniella Karagach, performed a rumba. Nelly did an amazing performance showing more of his sensitive side during this performance than usual. He still needs to work on his refinement in his movements but overall he is improving every week. His overall score was a 21/30.

Skai Jackson is always an interesting contestant to watch. She and her partner Alan Bersten performed a salsa to “Work It” by Missy Elliott. This was a pretty bizarre crossover but Skai really “worked it”. She earned a total score from the judges of a 25/30.

Johnny Weir and his partner, Britt Stewart, performed the foxtrot. Weir has had stellar consistency week after week on all of his performances. He ended the night with a final judge’s score of 27/30.

The Elimination

At the end of the night, the two couples in the bottom two were very unexpected. The two couples at the bottom were Skai Jackson and pro Alan Bersten and Chrishell Stause and pro Gleb Savchenko. The judges decided to save Skai Jackson and her partner, Alan Bersten. Unfortunately, Chrishell Stause and pro Gleb Savchenko’s road to the trophy has come to an end.
