How Jared Leto Found Out About Coronavirus
After spending over a week at a silent meditation retreat. Jared Leto missed out on all of the news that happened with Coronavirus in the 12 days he was gone. Leto was separated from news and technology, so he must have been shocked coming out of isolation and finding Americans in quarantine and a toilet paper craze taking over. Leto posted on Twitter on Tuesday about his absence and how he found out about the virus.
Leto wrote, “Wow. 12 days ago I began a silent meditation in the desert. We were totally isolated. No phone, no communication etc. We had no idea what was happening outside the facility.”
He continued, “Walked out yesterday into a very different world. One that’s been changed forever. Mind blowing – to say the least. I’m getting messages from friends and family all around the globe and catching up on what’s going on.”
And ended the Tweets with, “Hope you and yours are ok. Sending positive energy to all. Stay inside. Stay safe.”
So, while we were all practicing social distancing and taking extra health procaussians, Leto was spending time isolated. You could say that Leto returned to a world turned upside down. In the time that Leto was gone, Trump declared the COVID-19 pandemic a national emergency. Of course, the virus has been a threat since before Leto left for his retreat, but the scale of the emergency sky-rocketted in the past week.
Coronavirus cases have been increasing rapidly, with over 169,000 people infected and 6,500 killed. Jared Leto was probably the safest of everyone in self-isolation, and now that he is back and caught up in all things COVID-19, he will likely return to self-isolation to keep himself and others safe.
