How to Avoid Regret in Your Own Life | Feel Good Fridays W/ Liv Teixiera

Welcome back to another episode of “Feel Good Fridays W/ Liv Teixiera.” In this episode our host, Liv,  is discussing all things regret, the most common regret and how to lead a life that avoids regrets.

A Telling Study

Liv begins this conversation by referencing a viral study where residents of nursing homes were interviewed on their biggest regrets in life.

Overall, the regret was not things that had done but rather things that they hadn’t done. Our host then poses the question, how do we avoid this?

Identifying True Desires

Establishing goals and dreams for this lifetime are the first step, says Liv. To establish these things from the inside these things should be pulling at us rather than something we are ingenious pushing ourselves to want.

Liv challenges us to identify our truest desires and then remember that life is not promised. With these two things in mind, take advantage of the day with the hope that you can plan for the future.

Making It Happen

Our host shares that in order to achieve your bigger goals you need to be actively achieving the little goals. She reflects on her move from the East Coast to California. 

She shares that she knew if she wanted to travel and meet new people she needed to practice this move by meeting people and putting herself out there where she was before. Everything is a muscle, as she shares, and you have to work at this like a muscle. “It comes from the inside out,” says Liv.
