Jake Paul Defeats Nate Robinson in Boxing Match!

Former Knicks Player Nate Robinson took to the ring against YouTuber Jake Paul for his debut boxing match last night! However, the match did not go in Robinson’s favor, as Paul knocked him out within less than two minutes into the second round.

Jake Paul threw a total of eight punches, landing three, that caused Robinson to hit the mat hard!

Jake Paul’s Passion For Boxing

After the fight Jake Paul spoke about his drive for this sport, which he has been training for about two and a half years at.

“For me, my whole life has been a fight so fighting is something I’m great at,” Paul said after the match. “Being from Ohio in a small town and just fighting for success. People hating on me, I’m one of the most hated people in the world. It’s not easy.”

Robinson Tells Fans He is ‘OK’

Robinson, who has only been training since August, has since made comment on his loss via Instagram post today.

“Thank you everyone for all of the well wishes, I’m OK. I appreciate @triller for the opportunity as well as everyone that has backed me during the fight. To my coaches, trainers, fans, and teammates, I appreciate all of the time and support you guys put in with me…it wasn’t the outcome that we wanted, but I’m thankful for the opportunity to fight on the biggest stage that there has been. #holdat,” wrote Robinson.

Fan and Fellow Player’s Responses

The responses from fans and fellow NBA players have been quite mixed. Many high profile players took to Twitter immediately last night to mock Robinson’s quick defeat.

“That was no representation of the NBA Family lol,” tweeted NBA player Nick Young.

“Damn Nate … ‘Down goes Frazier!’” Tweeted Thad Young.

However, pro’s of the court have also been coming to Robinson’s support on his Instagram post this morning.

“Get em next time champ I remember when u knock that dude out in the club n boston. Shhhhhhhhhh,” commented Shaq.

All in all it seems supporters of both fighters in the ring are shocked at last night’s quick knockout! Many fans feel it was wrong to allow Robinson in the ring against someone so well trained. Especially in a sport as dangerous as boxing!
