04 Jan Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas Make Their Relationship Instagram Official
Justin Hartley and Sofia Pernas have officially taken their relationship to the next level. The new couple made it Instagram official, as they shared holiday photos with each other.
The Next Level
Like every modern day romance, Hartley and Pernas officially took the next step in their relationship and made it Instagram official. Both posted photos with the other, ringing in 2021 together.
Maintaining a low profile, the pair have kept their social media interactions to a minimum. These are the first photos the two have ever shared of each other.
Hartley posted a photo of the pair smiling for the camera on New Year’s Eve.
“Last minutes of 2020 here in LA,” he wrote. “Bring on 2021! Happy New Year!”
Pernas shared a similar picture of the pair smiling for a selfie, bidding farewell to the year.
“Sayonara, 2020,” Pernas captioned the photo. “It’s been real. Happy New Year from our quarantine den to yours.”
Past Relationship
This is Hartley’s first public relationship since his divorce from “Selling Sunset” star, Chrishell Stause. Hartley filed for divorce in November 2019, two years after the two wed, and listed July 8, 2019 as the date of separation.
The actor claimed irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
Things got a bit more candid when Stause spoke about the separation, on season three of her Netflix reality show. Stause shares that she was blindsided by the news of the divorce.
“It’s just a lot all at once because everybody in the whole world knows,” she said as she broke down in tears to a friend. “I love him so much. This was my best friend. Who do I talk to now?”
Stause spoke about how she felt about her ex-husband’s new relationship to People in September 2020. She shared that seeing Hartley move on was difficult for her.
“I feel like anybody would be heartbroken to see how quickly or easily you are replaced,” she said. “Of course that’s going to sting.”
New Love
Hartley and Pernas have found romance with each other, five years after the two first met. Pernas joined the cast of “The Young and the Restless” in 2015, and was co-stars with Hartley for almost a year.
It wasn’t until May of 2020 that their relationship reached a new height. The couple was caught kissing, as Pernas dropped Hartley off at a doctor’s office.
A source confirmed to People in June that the two had been dating for several weeks and were spending time together at the “This is Us” actor’s house.
Pernas has left loving comments under Hartley’s daughter’s pictures as well, proving that the relationship is growing strong.
Things seem to be only getting better between the couple. In October, Hartley expressed that he is in great place and very happy with his life on “Radio Andy”.
“I’m happy with my career. I’m happy with my personal life. I’m healthy, I’m safe,” said Hartley. “I mean, all of those things. So I’m very thankful.”
