04 Dec Mariah Carey Releases ‘Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special’
Skinny legend and queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey has announced that she plans to release a new Christmas album along with a TV special, “Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special,” this December.
Mariah Carey’s hit Christmas songs “All I Want For Christmas is You” and “All I Want For Christmas is You (Super Festive Version)” hit the top of all music charts every holiday season. It has been 25 years since “All I Want For Christmas is You” has been released, but people still cannot get enough of the holiday song.
The special is just what we need to get into the holiday spirit during these unprecedented times. It opens with the line, “‘Twas the night before Christmas all white with snow, but Santa was worried, the holiday spirit was low. You see, the people of Earth had a very rough year, and few could muster up any holiday cheer.” The premise of the special is that Santa needs Mariah’s help to lift up holiday spirits for 2020. She and Billy, Santa’s secretary, decide to put on a christmas concert!
The show, “Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas,” premiered on AppleTV+ today, December 4. It includes musical performances and guest appearances from Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, and Snoop Dogg.
This is iconic because for the first time ever fans will be able to hear Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey hit the high dog-whistle sounding note at the exact same time! Ariana Grande tweeted about their collaboration on the remix to “Oh Santa.”
