More Than a Mask : Masks Being Sold for a Cause

We are eight months into quarantine and by now I’m sure we know just how important wearing a mask is. With face masks becoming everyone’s number one accessory, we have started to see more environmentally conscious masks, as well as brands giving back to various important charities and causes.

Check out six of our favorite masks for a cause below!

Masks for a Cause

The name speaks for itself. This company is based in Burbank, California. Masks for a Cause was created by M.andonia & Golden Fleece Designs, Inc., and has been family owned for 50 years.

“For every mask sold we will donate back to the communities in dire need, to the first responders and homeless shelters,” their website states. “Should there be a need for another organization please let us know and we will be happy to donate.”

On their site, you can find cloth masks with several different patterns, PPE, DIY face masks, and more!

Hanes Wicking Cotton Masks

 Yes, Hanes! Hanes is selling a basic pack of 10 black masks.

Not only does that come in handy , while saving you money, you can feel good about your purchase knowing Hanes are giving back to those in need.

The brand, through the nonprofit Invisible People, committed to donating 1 million face masks to homeless people in this country.

Pura Vida X Vera Bradley Face Mask

 The jewelry company, Pura Vida, collaborated with Vera Bradley on two pink and blue floral face masks.

On top of the cute look, the best part is, “Five percent of the purchase price will be donated to Direct Relief,” says the Pura Vida website.

Direct Relief provides essential medical items and protective gear to health care workers on the front lines responding to COVID-19.

Funny Mustache Masks for Charity

 The Etsy shop, ManhattanTrophies, let’s you customize your mask in a whole new way. The shop is letting you pick your favorite celebrity mustache and slapping it on a mask.

They accept custom mustache requests but also have some great options like Hulk Hogan, and Will Smith already available.

“Sport a funny mustache or your favorite celebrities’ this November while giving money to a good cause,” says their description. “A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Movember charity, ‘Putting a face on Men’s Health’.”

Adidas

If patterns aren’t your thing, pick up an Adidas face mask. The simple and sleek masks are made with recycled materials which is always a plus for the environment!

Continuing with the environmentally conscious trend, the masks are washable and reusable.

For every 3-pack sold, Adidas will be donating $2 to Save the Children’s Global Coronavirus Response Fund.

BLM & Pride Masks

Rounding out our list is another Etsy shop! PeachNCrisis is a female owned Etsy shop that makes handmade masks. This shop is donating a percentage of the profits to the Black Lives Matter movement.

When checking out, you get to choose your donation level, which includes the amount of money you would like to be donated.
