22 Jan New Music Friday!
This Friday brought with it a ton of new songs from your favorite musicians including Billie Eilish, Rosalia, LILHUDDY, Sabrina Carpenter and more!
Billie Eilish ft. Rosalia ‘Lo Vas A Olvidar’
Billie Eilish and Rosalia released a new song, “Lo Vas A Olvidar” which translates to “you will forget them.” The moody song is sung mostly in Spanish. It was a surprise to Billie’s fans, as the singer is not fluent in Spanish.
In the dreamy slow tempo song, the two harmonize on high notes. This track is featured on the upcoming Euphoria special “Part 2: Jules” which will be out on HBO Max on January 24th. The bilingual song has a dreamlike, almost hazy tune that is perfect for Eilish and Rosalia’s enchanting voices.
The music video perfectly suits the dark song. It was produced by Eilish’s brother, Finneas.
Jason Derulo ft. Adam Levine ‘Lifestyle’
This song doesn’t have a deeper meaning, but it’s the perfect fun sound that the world has been needing. Jason Derulo joins Maroon 5 lead singer, Adam Levine. The duo sing about living a lavish lifestyle in which they “shine just like Rihanna and f**k up some commas.”
LILHUDDY ’21st Century Vampire’
Popular TikTok star and ex boyfriend of Charli D’Amelio, Lilhuddy, released his first single, “21st Century Vampire.” He recently joined the pop punk music scene when he acted in MGK’s “Downfall’s High.” In the angsty song Chase Hudson says that he is trying to relay the message “it’s okay to be different.”
Chillpill feat Rico Nasty & Soleima ‘Lil Bitch’
Producer Chillpill dropped a new song, “Lil Bitch” with rapper Rico Nasty and singer Soleima. It is a great song to listen to when you want to address some haters and tell them to “stop being so sensitive.”
Sabrina Carpenter ‘Skin’
The girls are fighting again! 21 year old singer and Disney Channel star has put out her response to Olivia Rodrigo’s record breaking single “Driver’s License,” which was about Rodrigo’s relationship with ex Joshua Bassett who is now dating Carpenter.
The internet was shook by this drop because it so clearly addresses the line in Rodrigo’s song, “you’re probably with that blonde girl.” Sabrina retorts singing, “Maybe you didn’t mean it/ Maybe ‘blonde’ was the only rhyme.”
Carpenter wants to make it clear that Olivia can’t get under her skin, but it seems like she just might have. The song is really good for having only a two week turn around. Sabrina Carpenter would make anyone feel insecure with her great looks and beautiful singing voice.
3OH!3 ‘I’m So Sad’
Electric duo 3OH!3 has released their new comeback single, “I’m So Sad.” Their new album, “NEED” is expected to be dropped later this year. “NEED” is a play on the title of their 2008 hit album, “WANT.” The two have proven that they can still make hit pop songs with this relatable single.
