02 Oct Oh Baby! Nicki Minaj Has Given Birth to Her first Child
Nicki Minaj has given her birth to her first baby with husband Kenneth Petty and Minaj fans can’t be any more excited!
The Big News!
Sources have revealed Nicki Minaj gave birth September 30th in Los Angeles with Petty right by her side. Although Nicki has not shared any new information on Instagram like the baby’s name or gender, she did bless our feeds back in July with a series of maternity pictures!
Nicki Minaj’s Maternity Shoot
Minaj posted three Instagram photos on July 20th that were nothing short of iconic. She captioned the first photo of three “#Preggers” with a yellow heart, and the last photo of the series “Love. Marriage. Baby Carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes.”
Renowned photographer, David LaChapelle, took the maternity photos. Minaj was photographed showing off her bump while decked in jewels, feathers, bright colored hair and platform heels of course!
The mom to be had a bra custom made for the shoot by designer, Lacey Dalimonte. Dalimonte took to the gram to show off Minaj’s pictures with the caption “Created this bra in under 48hrs filled with real candy, baby trinkets, & hundreds of Swarovski’s.”
The Happy Couple
Fans of Minaj now anxiously await to find out more from the happy couple who got married back in October 2019. Minaj and Petty dated when they were just teenagers before parting ways. The couple then began dating again in 2018. They quickly tied the knot just months after rekindling their relationship. The bride and groom gave viewers a small taste of their big day when Minaj took to Instagram to share a video of “Mr.” and “Mrs.” Mugs accompanied by “Bride” and “Groom” ball caps. Minaj captioned the video “Onika Tanya Maraj- Petty 10.21.19.”
Minaj Moving Forward
Nicki shared with fans on Twitter in 2019 that she was ready to put her career on pause, settle down and focus on starting a family.
“I’ve decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, in the box- cuz ain’t nobody checkin me. Love you for LIFE.”
As she moves forward with her personal life, we can’t be any happier for the singer, rapper, actress, model and new mom. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Petty on their first baby!
