17 Feb Paris Hilton Announces Her Engagement to Carter Reum!
Paris Hilton, who is celebrating her 40th birthday, received a gift bigger than a trip to a private island.
The media personality is now engaged to her boyfriend Carter Reum, according to her social media announcement on Wednesday.
Hilton’s Announcement
The socialite gushed over her birthday surprise with a visual of Reum proposing to her, and the couple reaching for a hug. The video ends with the phrase “Love. The Forever Kind.”
The post accumulated over 2.5 million views and 500,000 likes.
“When you find your soulmate, you just don’t know it. You feel it,” Hilton wrote in her Instagram caption.
After one year of dating, Hilton revealed that Reum proposed to her after taking her on a trip to a private island for her birthday. Reum took her to a cabana surrounded with flowers and a sign saying “Marry me.” It was here that he popped the question.
“As we walked to dinner along the beach, Carter led us to a cabana adorned with flowers and dropped to one knee,” said Hilton with a ring emoji. “I said yes, yes to forever. There’s no one I’d rather spend forever with.”
The Engagement Ring
In a gallery set titled “The story behind the ring,” Hilton released photos and a custom video of her engagement ring on her website.
The gallery includes sketches of the 15-carat ring, named “Paris.” According to Hilton, the estimated cost of the ring is over $1 million.
“My love went above and beyond in every way,” Hilton wrote on her website. “[Carter] tapped Jean Dousset, the great-great grandson of Louis-Francois Cartier, to design a breathtakingly beautiful ring that appears to be lit from within.”
Hilton and Reum’s Relationship
The newly-engaged couple began dating in December 2019, a year after Hilton’s previous engagement to Chris Zylka in 2018.
Carter Reum, 40, is an entrepreneur, author, and most notably, founder of M13 Ventures.
In light of their one-year anniversary, Hilton described her relationship with Reum as the “best relationship” in her lifetime. She expressed her excitement for a family and marriage, according to USA Today.
“I’m so excited for the next phase in my life, to have a family and just grow up,” said Hilton.
