With the start for a new year, it’s the perfect time to try out some need recipes and ever try going plant-based! From dairy-free breakfast to vegan dinners, there are plenty of options to try out and experiment with.

Making plant-based meals doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming! These recipes are not anything crazy and might be your new favorite at-home meal. These meals from Switch4Good are packed with vegetables, fruit, beans, whole grains and even cheese and meat alternatives!

Overnight Oats

A great dairy-free breakfast staple is overnight oats. Add some almond or oat milk with nut butter of your choice to oats and let them soak overnight. In the morning, top the mixture with some berries and coconut to garnish.

Avocado Toast

Another great vegan breakfast is the classic avocado toast. To make it more interesting, spice it up and add some tomato, chili flakes, a dash of salt and pepper and lemon juice to flavor. Try out some new flavor combos on your avocado toast!

Burrito Bowl

A burrito bowl is a great easy plant-based meal and taste’s amazing! Layer your bowl with rice or potatoes, lettuce, beans, avocado, salsa, dairy-free sour cream and a hint of lime. You can add in some meatless crumbles or baked tofu to add in some extra protein and flavor!

Unconventional Salads

If you’re looking for a lighter option, try out an unconventional salad. Mix some kale, chickpeas, shredded carrots, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and a dairy-free dressing on top. Thankfully with salads you can customize them to your liking.

Dairy Free Loaded Baked Potato

Try out a dairy-free loaded-baked potato for those cold nights. Bake a large potato and top it with beans, avocado, dairy-free cheese, salsa and dairy-free sour cream. This loaded potato is a tex-mex style but like salads, you can customize it!

Asian Inspired Veggie Bowl

Asian-inspired bowl can make a great dinner filled with veggies and vitamins. Pan-fry day old rice and add some peppers, onions, carrots, zucchini and any other veggie of your choice. Fry them until slightly crispy and top with Sriracha, hoisin sauce and sesame seeds.

Everyone has different bodies with different needs so don’t forget to listen to your body. Eating plant-based is not only better for the environment but your body too. Make sure you’re getting enough vitamins and check in with yourself often to make sure it’s working for you.

When making your plant-based meals remember to have fun and experiment with it. Forget the cooking rules and do it your own way! Try to combine a generous amount of colorful fruits and veggies with a balance of carbs and fats.
