The Best New Music This Week!

We are back with so much new music this week! From old favorites to debut albums, you won’t want to miss what these artists have put out.

There was new music released by people from all genres including Taylor Swift, J. Balvin, Jaden Hossler, and more!

Big Red Machine & Taylor Swift ‘Renegade’

The most surprising new music this week was Taylor Swift‘s collaboration with Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon.

Aaron Dessner and Justin Vernon have been working as a duo on their project Big Red Machine.

“Renegade” shares the thoughtfulness of Swift’s 2020 releases “Folklore” and “Evermore,” which featured the duo. Swift’s words wander in Dessner and Vernon’s exploratory landscape.

With thoughtful lyrics like, “Is it insensitive for me to say, ‘Get your shit together so I can love you?’” “Renegade” is a ball of frustration and indecision, but the composition is bright and warm, and Vernon’s harmonies make the whole thing less lonely.

Jxden ‘Tell Me About Tomorrow’

Pop punk is back in a big way! With a resurgence of our favorite artists like Travis Barker, All Time Low, and . Machine Gun Kelly‘s “Tickets to My Downfall” helped solidify pop punk’s place in the mainstream.

Now, Gen Z is ready to have their shot at the genre. With the help of Barker, who has recently worked with Willow Smith, Trippie Redd, Lil Huddy, and Machine Gun Kelly, Jxden is the next artist in pop punk.

Jxdn, or Jaden Hossler, is a Gen Z ambassador for the genre, bringing pop-punk to a generation who missed the heyday of Warped Tour. Hossler got his start on TikTok, but he is making a splash in the music industry with his debut album, “Tell Me About Tomorrow,” out now!

Lil Yachty ‘Love Music’

Coming off of the recent release of his mixtape,”Michigan Boy Boat,” Lil Yachty is changing directions. His newest single is an alt-pop song, “Love Music” from Quality Control and Motown.

Many fans are describing the single as reminiscent of 2017-era Yachty “This my test to see how my fans who keep saying drop melodic music ima see how yall react,” Yachty tweeted last night, ahead of the release.R

Rico Nasty ‘Magic’

At the end of last year, Rico Nasty released her first studio album, Nightmare Vacation.”

Her next project is a mixtape called “Rx”, which is expected to drop this summer. 100 gecs’ Dylan Brady is the mixtape’s co-producer. Rico has also said that it’ll feature guest spots from Flo Milli and G Herbo.

“Magic” is the first single off of the upcoming “Rx” and has a laid back vibe.

J Balvin & Skrillex ‘In Da Getto’

J Balvin and Skrillex have teamed up for the new song “In Da Getto,” the latest single from the  Colombian reggaeton star.

The track, produced by Skrillex and Tainy, is built around an interpolation of the Nineties dance hit “In De Ghetto” by David Morales and the Bad Yard Club featuring Crystal Waters and Delta Bennett.
