The weather is heating up, and these new music releases are sure to add some heat to your playlists.
This week, artists such as Trippie Redd, Don Toliver, J Cole, and more have put out some songs that you definitely need to listen to!
Trippie Redd ft. Playboi Carti ‘Miss the Rage’
This beat is on another level. You can literally feel it in your soul. Trippie shared news of the collaboration with Playboi Carti on his Instagram.The two artists play off each other’s energy on “Miss The Rage” The song sounds like a perfect mesh of aesthetics that both artists used on their last albums.
Trippie was glad to have had the opportunity to work with one of his idols in the rap game. “Aight, Wayne, Drake… I’ma just say everything I really listen to,” he said. “Like, the most music I’ve ever listened to from an artist… These gotta be my favorites because I clearly listen to them more than everybody else. So, Wayne, Drake, I gotta put André [3000] in there. [Lil] Uzi [Vert] and [Playboi] Carti. I listen to they shit a lot.”
Joshua Bassett ‘Feel Something’
In Joshua Bassett’s new single, “Feel Something,” he sings about the joys of driving around with your friends and getting up to a whole lot of nothing on the streets of Los Angeles. The video shows Bassett and friends stargaze, eat cake, stumble around on the grass, snuggle, climb a fire escape, and mess around in a car wash, which all seems like good, wholesome, startlingly attractive fun.
With all of the drama with his ex-girlfriend Olivia Rodrigo, it’s hard not to wonder if this is a response to Rodrigo’s “drivers license,” which publicized their breakup.
Don Toliver ‘What You Need’
Don Toliver is back with new music. The Cactus Jack Records artist dropped off “What You Need” this week.
Toliver teased on social media that an album might be on the way!
J Cole ‘Interlude’
J. Cole shared a new song from his upcoming album “The Off-Season.” The new album will be out May 14, and the new song “i n t e r l u d e” is out now. Cole produced the track with T-Minus and T. Parker.
Saweetie ‘Fast (Motion)’
Saweetie , just released her “Pretty Summer Playlist: Season 1 EP” a couple of weeks ago, and her supremely catchy Doja Cat collab “Best Friend.”Now, Saweetie has let a new banger out into the world, “Fast (Motion).”
Be careful, “Lo! Comotion! We causin’ a commotion!” might get stuck in your head all day.
Ozuna ‘Tiempo’
Ozuna has dropped his new video for “Tiempo.” This is the Puerto Rican reggaeton singer’s first new solo music of 2021.
