TikTok is not just the new goldmine of social media. It’s the king of new music discovery too. 

Music artists are thriving right now with their catchy songs on TikTok more than any other social platform. If you are a daily TikTok user, you most definitely will find yourself walking and humming to a 10-second snippet of a song on a loop in your head for weeks without even hearing the full song. “I’m a savage, yeah”… I know you have been guilty of singing this same verse over and over again.

Willow Smith’s “Wait A Minute!” is a pop 2015 tune that became viral four years later on TikTok for the catchy chorus. This song was used in a dance challenge called, “#HereRightNow, where it became more known across the app. 

The song has been used in over 1.4 million TikTok videos. 

‘Tap In’ Saweetie

Did you ever “tap tap tap in” to this song? Saweetie’s “Tap In” dominated TikTok last summer. The song’s massive success came from a TikTok user, Lesley Gonzalez, who was credited with creating the choreography for the “Tap In” dance

The song tapped in with over 5.5 million TikTok videos using this catchy tune. 

‘Savage’ Megan Thee Stallion

After rapper, Megan Thee Stallion dropped her single “Savage”, it got shaken up with popularity almost immediately after TikTok user Keara Wilson choreographed the “Savage Challenge” dance. Wilson’s super quick and intense dance became popular after she began to encourage everyone to mimic her moves. 

It quickly made its rounds on social media becoming one of the hottest trends on TikTok. Celebrities like Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez, and even Megan Thee Stallion herself sharing their own versions of the dance. 

The song has been used in over 24.4 million TikTok videos. 

‘Driver’s License’ Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Rodrigo’s debut single “Driver’s License” became a runaway hit, exploding on the charts becoming the world’s biggest song on TikTok. The 17-year-old Disney star’s catchy breakup anthem took over social media and got a co-sign from Taylor Swift.

With TikTok users posting thousands of videos using this song, “Driver’s License” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. With everyone praising the touching lyricism, this song leaves everyone singing it in their cars.

The song has been used in over 1.5 million TikTok videos. 

‘Blinding Lights’ The Weeknd

You may recognize this tune in one of your gym classes. With another hit song by The Weeknd, “Blinding Lights”, had been on the top of charts for weeks, so it is not surprising  that many are addicted to the tune. 

The 80’s vibed track is energetic and dramatic which had become another new dance challenge, “#BlindingLightsChallenge”, on the app. It became the new song for everyone in your household to dance and exercise to.

The Weeknd’s single has been used with over 2 million TikTok videos. 

‘WAP’ Cardi B. ft. Megan Thee Stallion

If you have never sang or danced to this song, do you even have a TikTok? Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s masterpiece “WAP” holds the record for the most weeks at #1 for a female-led hip hop song. 

The chart-topper set the internet ablaze with not only its catchy lyrics, but its popular choreography taking over social media. The “#WapChallenge” dance on TikTok became viral and had everyone dancing. From mom’s, dad’s, kids, grandparents, it was safe to say that this dance took over TikTok.

The female hip hop duo’s single has been used with over 7.6 million TikTok videos.
