16 Apr Usher Clears Up Rumor He Threw Fake Money at Strip Club
Usher is hitting back against rumors he paid strippers with fake money! On Monday, Usher appeared at the Sapphire Las Vegas Gentlemen’s Club, and is now being accused of throwing money with his face on it at the strip club.
Pictures of the “Confessions” singer’s night out show him enjoying bottle service and the club’s exotic dancers.
One woman, known only by the Instagram handle @beel0ove, blasted Usher on her story when she noticed the bills Usher brought to the club were fake. Instead of the usual Benjamin Franklin, the artist’s face were printed on the bills.
The woman posted a photo of the faux money on her Instagram story.
“Ladies what would you do if you danced all night for usher and he threw this,” she asked.
In a second post, she wrote, “& the money does not have a trade in value whatsoever! Lmao don’t y’all think he should be blasted on social media for this s–t?”
Later that day, the singer’s team provided an explanation of the photos to TMZ. Usher’s team claims they left the fake cash on the strip club’s stage to promote his upcoming Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace.
Greg Wilson, director of marketing at the Sapphire Las Vegas Gentlemen’s Club, confirmed that the money was part of a publicity stunt.
TMZ also revealed that Usher spent thousands on the club’s dancers and generously tipped the club’s other staff.
