Zac Efron is getting down to earth in his brand new Netflix special.
The 32-year-old star teamed up with a wellness expert, Darin Olien, to create a series about human connection and world traveling.
The pair seeks out to “investigate the ways people are taking action toward a sustainable future.”
Throughout the series Olien and Efron travel to countries around the world.
They visit France, Puerto Rico, Iceland, London, Costa Rica, Lima, Sardinia, and Iquitos to see what sustainability means to different groups of people.
This show displays people living their day to day lives, dealing with problems of not having enough resources like food and water.
“OK, we are traveling around the world to find some new perspectives on some very old problems. Food, water and energy are all the main staples for modern life. We’re going to meet some top eco-innovators to see how change is an inside job,” Efron says in the trailer.
Zac Efron has always been extremely vocal about wanting to help with the environment and sustainability. On Earth Day, he participated in The Discovery Channel’s The Great Global Cleanup.
In his Earth Day post on Instagram he writes:
“Happy Earth Day! I have always been in awe of the magic and mystery of Mother Nature. Exploring the unknown has always been a true passion in my life and now, more than ever, I realize how important it is to take care of our planet, our people and every living thing we share it with. Please be safe, be healthy and be kind to one another. 🌍 ❤ Join us tonight for the #greatglobalcleanup on @discovery at 10pm ET #earthday@earthdaynetwork earthday.org | #EarthDay2020”
